I enjoyed doing the one under the hood so I decided to do one in the trunk devoid of the edging. When I made my template I should have used something a little heaver than paper so it would lay flatter to help avoid overspray

That looks great. I wouldn't go around telling people you have a snake in your trunk though. They might get the wrong idea about you! ;)

What kind of paint did you use on the one under the hood?

It’s holding up great so far, I used a high-temp silver and I can’t see any difference between the two colors but if you wanted some extra protection and gloss you could apply a high-temp clear.
