Car is running like crap. Everytime when I start the car it runs rich and idles poorly. After I run the car and burn up the fuel it starts running better. I did a search on here and found nothing. Did a search on the other forum and found if the MAP sensor is not tighten down then it will cause this problem. So I looked for the MAP. This is what I found below! A hose where the MAP should be(I would guess) going to the split second box. Then found the MAP wires(would assume these are) cut and taped not connected to anything. Does the Split Second not use the MAP sensor? :dunno:

hmmmm well why in the hell does mine not have one? ha Wonder if I should buy one and hook it up. I guess the MAP sensor has a ****** on it that connects the the intake manifold correct? So should I just "T" off the intake manifold with a hose going to the MAP and a hose going to the Split Second? I'm going to need to get a connector too if I want to do it right.

ha no worries. I will figure this out. I'll try giving one of these guys a call tomorrow before I buy that MAP. I hope it will be this easy of a fix!

Which split second do you have? I have the FTC3 and all the existing wires to MAP are still there. DLM did the install directly to the PCM.

I have the FTC1. I talked to Doug and he knows what I need to do to fix this. So I'm hoping I should have this fixed in the next few days. He says that I DO need the MAP connected. Bought one today so looking forward to seeing if it fixes it. Doug is a great guy!
