I would like to add a single (standard size,52mm) gauge to monitor boost and EGT, but there is not much real estate for this. My desire is to maintain a stock appearance to the dash/cockpit, so my first thought is to replace the voltage meter on the lowest position of the 4 vertically stacked gauges in my SRT 10. My questions are:

1) Are the 4 vertical gauges connected (like a dash pod), or can I remove the volt meter?

2) Agree or Disagree: The volt meter is crucial to your daily driving (opinions welcome) ?

3) If limited to a single pyrometer probe, where would you tap for EGT measurement (is either bank known to run hotter?) ?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the info. Not suprised they are a single unit design, so I'll need to mount them somewhere.

I am not currently in posession of an infrared thermometer, but your suggestion seems reasonable.
