For those waiting patiently for SRT truck upgrades, just hold on.
We are working with a reputable company on a very slick header and cat-back system for the SRT Truck. This will be a Smog Legal certified system that works! It will work with the production cats and be a simple bolt on setup.

We currently have a clutch upgrade, flywheel and cylinder head package for the truck. A smog legal supercharger package is on the way.

Just hang tight everyone, some good products are around the corner.

These really are not what you would call a shorty header. They really are a neatly packaged bundle of tubes that are equal length and merged into a tri-y design.

The problem is that the new models (SRT Viper and truck)
have 4 catalytic converters, and the pre-cat is really close to the manifolds. So for a header to work with these cats it must be packaged well.

Many folks have put headers on the SRT Vipers and removed all 4 cats, replacing them with 1 high flow cat on each side. This system may work great, but will barely pass a tailpipe inspection and will fail a visual inspection.

The law is very specific, you cannot remove or replace the converters on a new car. If they are damaged you can replace them with factory replacements or certified OBD2 units (there are none yet for 96 and later cars). The bottom line is, if you have changed the cats on a new car, you could fail a smog test, be fined, and may not be able to sell your car. I have been around enough to see this become a big problem for customers over the years. Worst of all, the shop who removed or modified your emissions system could be fined $500 a day while the car is on the road! Don't laugh, this is for real.

The bottom line is, if this system works out well (and I am sure it will). It will be the best all around system. Smog legal, good price and respectable numbers. We will see.
