My friend Mark owns the building a few doors down from mine and we talk all the time, he is a member of the "other" forum. I was telling him how I was seriously thinking about getting an ACR. Having owned a Viper and just sold his Ford GT, I put him in touch with Herr Pemberton and he bought what I think is the first ACR to roll off (am I correct Bill?) in March. It's the Black with the red stripe pictured in the top left on the chart below:

Congrats Mark, even though he says he will honk every time he passes my building when he drives it to work :rolaugh:

Buy one Ron. You know you want to. We know you can afford to. Just do it!

I don't understand why the other two tone colors are not available with the driver stripe. Lameness. Why is it that modern manufacturers always seem to leave something out? I would prefer the blue two tone with the driver stripe but it's not available.

In this case they're throwing a little business to the local vinyl shops.

But I would want the steering wheel as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if all of them came with the steering wheel that has the red section on top. That design is pretty common in road racing steering wheels, lets to driver instantly know the location of the top of the wheel.

Vinyl is not as good as paint and if one were to paint the stripe on, it would depreciate the car's value (this ACR might very well be worth lots of cash in the future). An aftermarket steering wheel would look horrible compared to the factory unit. What is the problem with Dodge offering the stripes with any base color? I don't get it. The only possible explanation is the steering wheel. They were only able to come up with a red leather stripe on the steering wheel. I'd rather have the driver stripe available on all the body colors than make the steering wheel stripe the priority.

Ron was a bit incorrect in his statement, but black is the first color being done and the car is already in C status, so it is an accepted allocation vehicle - ACRs will start in February. Nachos Grassy-asp , Senor SoCal Rebel, and we will do our best to get the beast out to Sunny California as soon as possible!:headbang:

Hi Bill,
Did you find out if it does have the lap counter? I think I will still get the ******** package anyway, even if it does not have it. I just thought I would let you know since I will be gone for a couple days (taking kids to Disneyland), and I remember you said you only had a few days for changes. So please order it with the ******** Package. :D
Would it be safe to say I will see the car in March? Thanks buddy!

Mark
