Textured outside door-button surrounds...?

i have no idea what the thing is called, the door-push-button-popper-thingy, but I noticed last night that on Chuck's 98 RT/10 the little black part the sticks up on the door that is background for the button, is textured on his, it's not the flat black plastic like on his 97 GTS. Was this some kind of option or something? all the pics of Vipers i have seen so far have the flat black plastic...is his special?
