we started on the dyno at roe racing at 10am sharp, got done at like 4pm or so....
we are both scratching our heads. got tons of fuel (pig rich) on the 33 jet and nitrous is at a 52 jet. max RWHP went to 602.11/820RWTQ with more tuning assuming everything was working correctly it would have ended higher im sure.
but since it was so damn rich, sean had to take out a ton of fuel with the VEC2. THAT wasnt even enough, we had to jet DOWN on the fuel side to help take out fuel...
which STILL wasnt enough. sean and the guy from NX both wanted the A/F higher.
we ended up at a very safe & comfortable 554.55/700.71 with a 10.8 A/F ratio. sean and the tech from NX both wanted to get the ratio to about 11.5-12.0 but it is even safer where it is at now i guess.
we did 20 total pulls on the dyno and did more tuning than he ever thought he would have to do.
once i get the dyno sheet emailed to me, i can post it here.
NOW i have to figure out the problem. it is one or the other. either too much fuel or not enough nitrous flow (volume) he took out all kinds of fuel from 3500rpm's to like 4700rpm, played with timing too. im betting im starving for nitrous. I even have an idea where the problem is. im gonna snap a pic and see what you guys think. also im only using ONE of the bottles at a time. im wondering if THAT has something to do with it. the NX tech guy said no....
sean also thought we should ADD nitrous since i obviously have no fuel problems and the NX guy said not to. ya only change fuel jets to tune. but it would make sense to add more nitrous as rich as i was running
all i can say is HOLY $#%^$# &%^$, this car screams now on the juice ! ! !
i know a lot of you guys have a ton more power, but it's a lot for me right now.
the nitrous kicks in at 3K and off at 5K when at full throttle. done by the vec2.
first trip down some old runway behind his shop had me scared, but i'll get used to it...I might take a quick blast down rt95 today for the hell of it.
