And I hope it continues to be the ONLY Viper to ever come with a V8.

I've read about the first Viper. 300 hp from the 360 was great at that time. As I recall, the TBI 360 in the trucks in 89 was rated about 190 hp, and 290 lb ft, or thereabouts. Even when the 360 got "Magnumized" in 93, it still made on 230 hp.

I'm pretty sure that prototype runs, not sure if it's driven anymore.

Looks like a great party, the first and last viper were there. I wish we had something like this in the western canada region over the winter when there is nothing to do.

At that point they still had not decided on what to use for side view mirrors apparently....... Also, whoever wrote the info card needs to spell "chassis" correctly......

Why is the Gen 5 Stryker emblem on a Gen 3 hood in the glass case?.

Agreed!

Glad they added the "Sports Bar" ....
I love the sport bar

So cool... Bring those babies to NE Ohio!
Yes, I'd love to see the 1st viper in person!
Actually jjp11, the GST-R was just in NE Ohio a few months ago at a car show - just a few cars down from mine- that was a cool car to see! ... http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/648340-GTS-R!?highlight=glenmoor

The white prototype runs, as they drove it out of the hotel ballroom after the party. That 360 sounds REALLY healthy. The doors or the trunk lid do not have hinges. They are bolted in place. Herb Helbig (who was in attendance at the party), had the honor of driving it out.
