time to change atf in my car , what is recomended .

want to know if there was a better fluid than atf . amsoil. redline. synthetic atf . what is everyones thought , thanks to all mrbob. gen 1

I just did that job. After reading virtually every thread on trans fluid, and reading conflicting reports about failures that some attributed to using aftermarket fluids, I decided on the Castrol Syntorq synthetic fluid. It's only available through Chrysler (Mopar Part # 04874459), and GM (GM part # 12346190), I ordered the Mopar fluid from Amazon. It's expensive, but is the factory recommended fluid(recomended to eliminate NGR in TSB# NO: 21-06-98).

What year? ATF+4 is the recommended replacement for Vipers originally equipped with ATF. It's a better fluid than the original Dexron II/III, plus a lot cheaper to replace when needed, better shifting and smoother cold weather performance. All good..
