I have a small screw in my right rear tire in the recess of the tread. The leak is slow and I am curious as to the safety of patching the hole instead of replacing the entire tire. I dont drive it much and the tires have about 5000 miles on them. I have used patches/ plugs on other cars in the past with no problem, just not sure with the beast. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Well,
It's your call.
For street car, and normal driving, I would patch.
(as long as its not on a edge)
(also had rear with plugs, worked fine)

If you are tracking it, I'd be leary..

I had a plug on one rear tire that went 15,000 miles and no problems.

Given the mileage on the tire and the fact it's not driven much i would just plug it....unless as hemibeep indicated...If its going to be raced.....I would not be comfortable.
