In some recent reviews of the Viper SRT-10, including the recent edmunds.com review, it has been noted that the SRT-10 is set up for understeer due to safety/predictability concerns. I currently have all four tires set up at the OEM-recommended 29 psi. To dial out understeer and achieve more neutral handling, places like tirerack.com recommend increasing tire pressures in the front relative to the rears. On other tire pressure posts I have seen folks who have their pressures anywhere from 29 to approximately 34-36 psi. On my M5 I have about a four psi differential between the fronts and the rears to achieve neutral handling. For the street/occasional track day does 29 psi rear and 33 psi front sound reasonable to counter some of the understeer?

Thanks.

What we have found is that with the runflats and 29 psi you use more of the edges of the tire at the cornering limit and tend to bow the centers effectivly lessening the foot print and causing the understeer so your recomendation of 33-35 psi should be about right. Remember to check your tires at hot temps when at the track to see how your " set up" is working.
