Hey guys, bought a viper in november but it's been sitting in my garage due to the winter, so, haven't driven it yet. Anyways, I know I need new back tires for it to get it certified in the spring, so, 2 things;

1. I have the stock rims on them and I want to powder coat them black (viper is red), anyone done this??? Pics?

2. I know the stock's are 335/35 17zr but is there other sizes avaiable that work???

Any info would be great, thanks.

You need to get a full set of PS2 from Jonb at Partsrack.com. Give him a call!!

Congrats on the new car. You will love it. Keep the shiny side up!

Congrats on a great car. Depending on how much you intend to drive the PS2's are great tires if you drive a lot. They're about 1600 bucks. My car sits a lot and I wasn't going to have a set of 1600 dollar tires dry rot before they got a lot of miles on them so I researched the Kumho Exta XS's. They are also great tires and are about half the cost. I had them bought,mounted and balanced for $900. I ordered them from TireRack and had them shipped. I have a 94 red also. I'm sure JonB is just as reasonable. Research Kumho's site on these tires. They have a weird tread design and they aren't recommended in the rain if you're not careful. They do give a great ride.
PM me if you need any more info.

I'll put about 2000 miles a year between the viper and the NSX. The viper probably less then the NSX. So maybe 800 miles a year.

Sounds like you do not drive in the rain so get that Kumhos. I would say Jonb can get you that same price as TierRack as I think he gets his tires from them.
