To Torque or Not To Torque....Injector Hold Down Bolts

Needed to get an answer (opinion) on whether the hold down bolts for the injectors should be torqued or not and what Lbs.

Yes, totally serious. Have never taken them off, so want to make sure I don't screw (sorry for the pun) anything up when I put the bolts back.:nono:

Thanks, I actually decided to use anti-seize in case there was any chemical reaction between the stainless steel and the manifold.

I changed the bolts to hex head cap screws w/lock washers and polished the hold down plates. Its starting to come together now that I've changed most of the screws/bolts that had surface rust.

I must say, it has a much cleaner/nicer look with the hex head screws IMHO. Now, I just have to find out how to clean the paint on the manifold/valve covers. I am not up to having them powder coated, but still would like the paint to look better...if that's possible.

You have no idea, the additional streamlining as a result of removing the surface corrosion and polishing of the hold down plates combined with the lower coefficient created by the change to stainless steel gained .0000035 rwhp and .000000026 mph!:rolaugh:
