Thank you for the invite. Don't know if I can make it. Not sure about running at night this time of year. The car was spinning the tires and dancing around on the 1-2 shift. That was with the sun warming the track.

not bad. like stated it's all in the 60' mark. on decent street tires use a smooth motion and slip the clutch so you don't bog but on the point of traction breaking. you should be able to muster a 1.8 or so on good street shoes.

Thanks guys. My tires are only a year old, BFG KDW's. With some more seat time I'm sure I can gett a 12.2 out of it. I would need somee drag radials to get to the 11's .

NICE , sounds just like my cars #'s ... I am stoked to see a 12 or realize I need the driver mod :)

Were you doing a quick burnout? In or out of the water box? ---

Totally understand:) I have drag radials and wasnt hooking well! I can hook in cool weather but 39 degrees was too cold. I'll see if I hook next time. I have the same tires as u for the street. I tried them all and love those. They hook pretty good and seem to last so far.

I stayed out of the burn out box. Had the rear tire pressure set to 24 psi, just spun them quick to clean them off. The guy in the camaro is my coworker. His car has American racing long tube headers (1 7\8 primaries) high flow cats with X-pipe, SLP loud mouth cat back, and a K&N cold air intake. His car dynoed 410 whp torque was about the same.

I know I need more time at the track to get the 60 ft times down. I think the mph should have been higher what do you guys think?

2000 Creampuff, 3.55 gears, lightwieght flywheel, Belanger headers & 3" catbacks & 3" in/out Randomtech cats. Best 11.98 @121, 60' 1.84 well into 4th, putting down 434 RWHP & 474 RWTQ. The launch is the key, 22 psi in rears (PS 2), 2500 rpms and dump the clutch slight bog then floor it, no wheel spin and a good launch.

Heading to the track in an hour or 2 myself !!! ---

^^^ Great question ... do you just shift at redline (this goes for anyone that has been to the track) , the engines are "overbuilt" so no worries of engine damage, right? :) ---

Shift at the rpm that's ur highest horsepower. If ur car makes power the same power at 5800 rpm and at 6000 rpm there's no need to take it to 6000. It's wasting time. U should shift as soon as ur car reaches peak power for each gear. All cars are different. A dyno can give u this info.

Thats a GREAT plan ... thanks for the tip!!!

My Dyno sheets show my peak horsepower is at 5350 rpm ... sounds like where I will try my shift :) ---
