TSB for check engine light fix on \'00+ cars?

It was recently posted that service bulletin 18-011-01 had a fix for the 'check engine' light problem with late-model Vipers equipped with aftermarket headers. However, my local Dodge dealer is unable to locate any such TSB. Does anyone have more specific information on the TSB?

Re: TSB for check engine light fix on \'00+ cars?

I just spoke with our inside man, Dan Cragin @ Santa Monica Dodge, and the TSB # is indeed 18-011-01. It's only about a week old, however, so many dealers apparently haven't yet received it. The TSB deals with O2 sensor heating sensitivity in '01 cars. No real data yet on whether it actually solves the problem of "check engine" lights with aftermarket headers.

Re: TSB for check engine light fix on \'00+ cars?

The TSB in question applies to JTEC controllers which is found on truck as well as the Viper. Part of the bulletin involves reprogramming the controller to change the sensitivity when the Viper controller goes through the O2 sensor heater monitor test. This test is part of the OBD II requirements. The bulletin is only for 2001 vehicles that have a certain calibration level, nothing more.
