Can anyone help me please with the TSB numbers for a '97 GTS? My UK dealer has said if I know what they are in the US, he'll check for them over here (and see if they're valid)!

I'm especially after (if there is one)
For the Timing cover gasket.
Wheels / gas cap corrosion.
Any others would be helpful.

Many thanks.

Nadine,

I just had the timing cover gasket (leaking all over the front on the engine) and the gas cap (corrosion) both replaced under warentee here in the US. And I do not have the original factory warentee, but I did get mine from DC.

Must be an early GTS thing!

Sorry, but I have a good tech who shields me from the details so I can't help with the TSB numbers...

BWOODBURY, what dealer did you go to? I have a 96 GTS with gas cap corrosion and 2 dealers have said they will not replace it under my max care extended warranty. Anyone in the Detroit area have any luck getting their gas cap replaced under an extended warranty?

I went to Sunnyside Motors in McHenry, IL. It was not easy. One of the girls in Service (Tuesday) spent a good 2 weeks talking with the zone rep to get it approved. In the end DC agreed to pay for the part but not the labor to install it. I took a look at the four bolts that held it on and said sure!

But when I went to pick it up, in my Viper, the parts guy would not release it until I gave him the old one first. Their only Viper tech was busy, so the Service Manager grabbed a screwdriver and we did the swap there in the parking lot. No extra charge.

Now that is what I call service!

Hi Nadine, I had a chance to look up TSB's for 97-Vipers. You should be able to go to your local Dealer and he or she can pull them up for more details. These TSB's are out of my [DC] TSB Books-97-98&99. No Recalls for 97 Vipers.
Hope this helped?

Chuck-Wizards amazingly complete list appears to have the
1997 TSB for Leaking Intake Manifold Gaskets, the usual symptom was High-Idle....maybe thats "Rough/High Idles" as shown..

1997 cars built before 11/18/97...........
