\"up to/after seq #\" in parts catalog?
I was looking through the factory parts catalog, and saw that some of the parts used on the cars varied from time to time during the model year (continuous improvement?) How do I match this up to a particular car? Is the seq # referred to in the parts manual the same as the VIN of the car, or is there some other assembly sequence that I need to look up (and how would I find this).
More specifically, I saw a used "Gen1" bumper cover for sale. Seemed generic enough, but in looking it up, I found that there was one part number up to seq ***, and two part numbers listed for after seq *** (no differentiation), as well as four additional part numbers for export models (a total of 6 different bumpers). Ordering a new one would be hassle enough; trying to identify a used one would be a minor nightmare....
