hey fellas. Buddy is trying to get a state inspection in jersey and they are holding him up becase they can't locate the 3rd vin on the car. There's obviously the one on the dash, and there's one on the driver door, but he can't find the other one? Any guesses? He checked underneath the pass airbag panel and no luck and someone said to try under the center consol. Any ideas?not sure ...

Doesn't the owner's manual cover that?

Have you looked in the engine compartment? Usually a plaque in there that will have all the information.

Here in Texas the dealers can do state inspections. Can they not do that in Jersey?

lower corner where driver side of windshield meets body looking form outside,
or the door sticker inside the drivers door jam,
or i think there maybe a sticker behind your liscense plate
or check you vehicle registration from whatever state your in
or check your bill of sale/reciept for buying the car
or check your insurance paper/certificate
