I have heard that there is some construction in Memphis and it's best to go around (to the north loop I think). Can anyone add any comments or suggestions? Thanks......Kurt

There is construction both ways, but it would be best taking the North loop (I-40). You'll probably run in to some traffic as you approach the I-40/I-240 intersection (Nashville exit), that is where the construction is. You would hit it going either way. On the south loop (I-240) there is some additional construction at the Perkins exit. The south loop would be the longer way around anyway. Be aware, Shelby Co. runs drug interdiction units like crazy on the north loop so watch your speed, or at least have a good radar detector. Be careful and have fun!
