Paypal sent, 30 psi is a bit overkill, can you send me a 15 or 20 psi gauge instead.

Thanks

Adam

I installed mine today .......

finally I can see the speedo less than 60mph.....

I use to have the pickup truck one ....now 1MEANSNAKE's does not rub the steering wheel with the boost guage like the old one did.

Very nicely done 1MEANSNAKE :2tu:

I would also like the guage to be 15-20 psi instead, similar to this I guess.

great setup Mike, Thankyou

anyone have a easy hookup, do I have to drill a hole to run vacuum line to my vecII and where is the best and easiest way to tap my guage lighting?

Vacuum line to VEC2? You should mount the MAP sensor that comes WITH the boost gauge (assuming you have the Auto Meter Phantom model 5776) in the engine compartment and route the tubing from the VEC2 to it. Hmmm, not sure that made sense....but that is how mine is.

1meansnake, I got my Viper pod and gauge today, they are fantastic!! I hooked it up and low and behold I'm only boosting 6 psi with my Roe Blower, I bought the car 2 weeks ago and was told the car had an 8psi pully but apparently not! The gauge looks great, I had a little difficulty getting the pod over the tilt handle but after that it went together nicely, thanks!!

That would depend on whether you hooked up the vacuum line to the right place. If it isn't coming off the VEC2, and it IS just coming off the back end of the driver-side intake tube (there is a little ****** there), then you could be getting an erroneous reading. mind you, I have the AutoMeter Phantom gauge that came with it's own MAP sensor....not sure what you have. Could that possibly be an issue for you??

hey Tony, yes I hooked up a vaccum T to the VEC II input, I figured if I'm going to read boost I want to read exactly what thr Vec II is reading, I have a Auto Meter gauge, the one pictured above.. its a mechanical gauge but they have been accurate for me in the past. I know exactly what ****** your talking about, I'm not pulling from that ******.

I just walked out to the garage and checked the vaccum source, my VECII and Boost gauge are both pulling vaccum from a ****** near the pully on the SC, its right between the SC Shaft and a red 90 degree silicone elbow.

Mike,

I just ordered a guage pod and boost guage from you and paid on paypal! I would prefer the 15 psi white guage with a brushed aluminum color bezel. I'll be watching the mail!

Thanks,

Rich

recieved the pod and it looks great. very OEM.. quick question. do you REMOVE the old plastic piece on the steering column and then fit the new one with the pod or do you just slip it over the stock one?

For this piece, you have to slip it over the stock piece... took me a while to find my old one. :) the autometer piece that works on a RAM 1500 is a replacement for the top but this is a slip-over. at first i wasn't sure how it would look but It does look pretty sharp!

Does anyone know if this will fit a 96' RT/10? I saw it fits Gen 2's, but with a "Gen 1.5", its always a guessing game on whether the car parts are from a Gen 1 or 2 (besides the engine and suspension).

I guess they are making them now. I am talking about a-pillar pods for Gen1's. They were supposed to be done a couple of months ago but don't know what happened. Last I heard from 1meansnake, was mid November I believe.

Mid November the dual gauge pods will be available :)

We are also working on the column gauge pods for the Gen III's of which will come out around or just after the release of the full pillars.

Look for them soon!!!!!!

V10speedluvr - from what we know, they do fit the 96+RT/10 and we have them in stock!

Just for fellow 96' RT/10 owners information, I'm afraid the pod doesnt fit our cars :(
