Anyone know this viper. It was at a show here in Columbia and I didn't make it...but saw the pictures and wondered whats with the hood. Obviously has a good bit done to it.

I saw that Viper around the dam last fall/winter. It sounded pretty good but wasn't too appealing to me personally but I was passing it and didn't get a close up look.

What car show?

Its a get together at Fatboy's off of 378 in west columbia.

Second saturdays every month...spring thru fall.

I used to go all the time...but haven't had a chance lately.

Hood scoop looks like the one on the Stingray in "Corvette Summer". I bet its tough to see over that scoop sitting so low in a Viper to begin with. Everyone's got different taste!

I think that thing is fugly. I mean what is with the caps poking far out of the wheels?

Those wheels look like the old rims that you could remove the wire spokes or keep them on:D

Usually when you see a Viper with this many drastic body changes there is a good chance the title is a salvage and this is what was done to "repair" it.

Well...talked to this guy yesterday.

1st: He says the hood if from a le mans viper...and there were 14 of them made...and he said I could call Chrysler to get one:rolaugh:

2nd: He owns a machine shop and has ported his own heads...and is now going to stroke the block to ~635ci:dunno:

3rd: There is nothing special under that hood

and the best I could figure was the center caps on the wheels were for chariot races:rolaugh:

I have had these pics for quite some time saved in "My Pictures." Same car... check out the roof, hood, front bumper. Must have been before wheels and door guard.

I hate to bash a Viper but the folder I have them saved in is called "Viper Nightmares."

That last shot of the hood is just rough IMO. Sorry to the owner (relative of Uncle Ben.)

F_U_G_L_Y and I will never apologize for saying it either. YUCK!!! The rims look like a damn roulette wheel in a 70's style disco themed casino. The gold door edging should be yanked off the car and the owner given 1 lashing for every dollar they flushed into the toilet doing those aweful mods.

Why don't you come out to the "Fatboy's Cruise In" in Lexington off Augusta HWY...every 2nd saturday except winter.

I am planning on it. I had heard it was the 3rd Sat of the month but will put it down as the 2nd. I am usually on the water all weekend and that hinders the the Viper time:cool: .
