I wonder if they will be placing the higher horsepower engines in the yellow SRT-10's as done with Gen I and II yellow vipers?

Just kidding, couldn't resist.......since I have yellow fever.

There was a nice article about Mid Ohio Viper Days by someone named Ken Katowik. Seems he drives a YELLOW Roe Supercharged Viper GTS. He is also known as SUN RA KAT. :D

Great article Kenny. Now that you're famous, how about a Sun Ra Kat T shirt so I can look my best at the track?

Turnabout is fair play, Sonny. I'll see what I can come up with. :D

No. More likely they will just keep telling the yellow guys that their cars are faster, just like they did for the first two gens. I played with a yellow viper the other day on the street. He sure did have a hard time keeping up with my "slow" red GTS.

Oh, and when you read your magazine, be sure to look at the letters to the editor in the front. Seems somebody couldn't believe how fast their Viper goes when up against a Lambo: 90 MPH in FIRST gear! He must have the GRT-11 - the official 2007 "made-up" Viper... :p

I read that same article chris. Aren't the vehicles equiped with rev limiters? I don't quite get why they posted that letter, what rpm would the car have to be at to acheive 90 mph? 8500 rpm? (rough guess)

Can't wait for the GRT=11! ;)

Hey Makara, I am glad beating a "yellow" viper made you feel better.

I was waiting for the B/S flag to pop up on that one! Can't believe that made it to press!

Yep, thought that was pretty d&mned dumb! Maybe an editing mistake, meant 60mph?

Re: VIPER Quarterly & Raffle Form

Well, did anyone else's spouse/sig other give them a hard time as they eye'd up the 2004 YELLOW SRT raffle form :D

Seems since I helped pay for George's custom painted SRT, and we live so close, my wife feels it would be
crazy for me to slap down any franklins this time around...

All I can say it, there is gonna be some sheeet fly'in, cuz I am buy'in!!

Tomer

90 in first gear. We all just figured it was an IL fish story. :D

In fairness,

the ed handled it with just the right mix of humor and restraint ;)

My wife sends the mail and asked So how much did you spend on the raffle?".

I told her two tickets (hoping she wouldn't know or ask how much each).

She said "Then I'm going shopping" and turned on her heels.

Probably seemed like 90 after jumping from a VW or Saturn anyway. 90 in first, maybe 145 in second. lol.
