Can any of the folks from Miami or the surrounding areas give me the name of a good Viper tech?

(I know Larry Macedo is in Orlando, but I was hoping for someone a bit closer to home, though I'm not completely against the idea of taking a road trip so Larry can do his thing)

I want the car to be given a check-up, have routine maintenance performed, etc. I also am having a really odd problem with the alarm system. An aftermarket alarm was installed and seems to be goofing up the door release on the passenger side.

Thanks!

I'd *love* to go to DLM, but I was under the (perhaps false) impression that he only had time for his supercharger installs. I know the wait list for those is in the months. Not sure he'd be able to squeeze in a tune-up for lil' ol' 450HP me

I'll call and ask, though.

Check out Doug Levin. He's a super nice guy. I've never used him because my car is still under factory warrantee, but I think he does do rgular work also.

Deep south. Reeeeal deep. Homestead, a little above Key Largo. One perq is that I can see the Homestead raceway from my patio, and get there in under 5 minutes. A buddy of mine knows the guy who runs it (he's his doctor) and said he'll try to see if he can get me some gratis lap time

Thanks, that would be great.

I live in Coconut Grove. My office is on US1 just south of the Falls.

I had an alignment done at Orlando Dodge and they didn't torque the bolts properly when they were done. Now I get an annoying creaking sound every time I take off. Not saying they're no good but they slipped up on mine. To be fair, I couldn't take it back to them as I was halfway across the state before I noticed it. Just be careful.

Thanks!

my car always goes to M2-Macedo Motorsports in orlando. Its a 3 hour drive, but well worth it. taking it to these dealers down here with employes that are not even qualified to work on the neons, you will regret it. I ended up with a cracked hood, damaged startech rims, and scratches on every body pannel on 2001 saphine GTS from them using a bristle brush to clean it. with 3 separate visits to 3 different dealers.

shoot me an email if you want, larry will be comming down to MIA sometime in near future and for the Homestead Miami PDC/Safemotorsports race.

We race 2 - 3 times a year with Safemotor sports. all you do is join the club for $50 and get sponsered by a current register driver. once a member, you just pay for the all day track event.

Last weekend we ran sebring all saturday 7am - 4pm for $225.00. August 28th is at sebring again, then Septeber 25th at homestead Miami.

check out the site http://www.safemotorsports.com/

Guarateed...after one track event, you wont find driving on the street so fun again.

Definitely Doug Levin Motorsports. I'm not sure how far away you are from him but he does superb work. It takes them time to do performance work but the results are remarkable. If your just doing a tune up I'm sure Doug can get you in and out in a jiffy :2tu:

Unratld, go to Levin then take it to www.SAFEMotorsports.com We usually have at least 10 Vipers at our events, which are limited to 65 cars total. No run groups, open track all day. Nearly six hours of track time!!! No other track club offers that kind of time for $250. And it's SAFE! In nearly 15 years there has NEVER been a two-car accident at a SAFE Motorsports event. Drive as fast as you have the balls for, safely and legally - ALL DAY LONG.

Doug,

Likewise! Thanks for all your time. Your training session has twice been used, once when trying to close the hood after the stereo installers opened it, and also getting the soft top on.

As a side note, I used Cartronics to do the amp/speaker install and guess who they mentioned? I was talking to George, the manager, and he said, "We did the stereo installation for the fastest Viper in Miami." I replied, "Doug Levin's?" And he said, "Yes! You know him?"

163rd is fast becoming my do-it-all street. I've practically lived there since last Friday. Jiu-Jitsu lessons, stereo installation and your shop, all in the same vicinity. Might have to move

Chuck,

I checked it out and I'll definitely try to go. It's hard for me to commit to anything because I work overseas and can be called away at any time.

(no, not military)

I'm supposed to be off-contract in September, so there is a good chance I can make it.
