I thought the F-16 was called the "Fighting Falcon"?

The F-16 was and is still referred to as a Falcon....but also a Viper as well. "The F-16's official name is "Fighting Falcon", but "Viper" is commonly used by its pilots, due to a perceived resemblance to a viper snake as well as the Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper starfighter.

I actually worked F-16s for 5 years early in my career and got a ride in one in 2012!

Thank you all, your support means a lot! My dad did 26 years in the AF, to include Vietnam....when the support wasn't there. We really do appreciate it!
