I don't get it, it's like the viper is the black plague in the press "community",,,,, what's up with that???????

I agree. It is very odd that Vipers are simply ignored. You never see an article devoted to Vipers anymore (with the slight exception of the SRT-10 introduction). What gives?

The Viper gets extremely little press. Although its image is used quite often.
Do you think Dodge and DC want it that way to keep it from becoming mainstream and protecting the "bad boy" image? Surely they have the clout to get the publicity the cars deserve, if they wanted to. I wonder if they don't want the publicity for whatever reason.
It is very odd how little the Viper is in the news, even though it is as good or better than just about everything out there. The last comparo I saw was when they added the race Mosler to the field to (barely) beat the SRT-10. *** was the point of that? And it clearly was not their intent to point out how close to a race car the other cars were.
My guess is that DC actually suppresses Viper PR for whatever reason. They are selling everything they make now, right?

the reason the viper is treated as the black plague is the writers are scared of the car when they drive it. Its as simple as that. You and I both know that unless you have huge nuts this car will scare the [******] out of you at speed and around corners, I mean come on! "It doesnt have any assisted driving features like traction controll" (rag writers shaky voice as he is handed the keys)

What a ***** pile of poo! What I dont get is you have a car that is in the top ranks of the sports car world, is relitivly inexpensive compared to the super cars that it bests and it sits there not getting any praise. I bet if it were a mercedes and not a dodge things would be different. Or another arguement would be if it were GM and not a Dodge product. We all know how much praise every single car rag gives the z06, its a great car and all, and I owned one but it is no where near the caliber the viper is. Period, so why all the counter praise?
I think the real fact of the matter is that the little old Z06 scares the average magazine writer, so the Viper makes them poo in their draws.
Thats my theory and im sticking to it.
