WATKINS GLEN - Monday-Tuesday, May 19-20
Watkins Glen was the site of TracQuest/Rennlist's first East Coast event in May, 2001, and for good reason: it's yet another of the best tracks in the country. TracQuest/Rennlist now does 2 events per year at The Glen - one in May and the second during the last weekend in October, when we literally shut the track down for the season! Because Watkins Glen is such a wonderfully long circuit at 3.4 miles, run groups at TracQuest/Rennlist events there are even smaller on a car-per-mile basis than at other tracks.
Event headquarters for this event, as usual, will be the Longhouse Lodge Motel. The address is 3625 State Route 14, Watkins Glen, New York 14891, and the phone number is (607) 535-2565. Room rates vary from $99 to $109 per night in the motel, and are $159 to $199 per night in the wonderful Manor, just up the hill. When you call to make a reservation, tell them you're with the TracQuest/Rennlist group going to Watkins Glen Int'l. The TracQuest/Rennlist room block will only be held until April 19th, so make your reservation early.
