Thought I post some current pics of my current project. I had installed some vinyl silver stripes a month ago. I was suppose to get black ones and the company said keep the silver ones. SO as I was waiting I figure what the heck I will install them to have a base line when my black ones come it. Any how. The silver looked cool. But I prefer the black so far. Just have to finish redoing the rest today. "then again I see the silver and black looks pretty good together!" I am sure it would make some of you terribly mad. But unfortunately I am going all
black.
Also did my model first to see how it would look entirely before laying it down. Looked good so far! lol

So you put them both on at the same time?
Im not totally sure of the width between stripes on a gen2 or the exact stripe width, i
believe Dom426h said 1997&up Stripes = 203mm(7.99") - 112mm(4.41") space.
So 8" x 4.5' space is about right. I will see about getting some.

You look like your doing a great job!

Thanks! I just know from installing many stripe kits in the past. All standard rally or racing stripes are 8" in width. Now I know some have certain specifications. But I figure since my car never came with them on it. It would be ok to at least do the correct spacing between them.,:) I am using the silver in certain areas to help me with harder areas that I need some sort of refference point or center. Have stripes on previously makes it so much easier. And this second set I told him the correct spacing. WEll it make the job so much easier to place. Cause you cant argue with the center placement. So aligning is easier. And this time I had enough to do the hard top and rear bumper bottom. I didnt; have enought silver to do finish it all up. ONe other reason why i am removing it.

Well depending how hot it is will decide whether I go or not! Lol and if I do I'll pretend ya there in spirit! Lol and I hope that I will have the rims dine before you get back man! I hope too. That will be my goal! Just as ling as nothing else goes wrong or any set backs happens!
Lol

Here is that rear shot requested of the stripes! And yeah believe me and SnkBite that you want to do it right. Take 2 to 3 days to do. Don't rush it at all!! And what you need to do first is lay the first set of stripes on the hood for the front and as for the rear lay the deck and truck strip in one shot and end them at the license plate! So you have your two major basic lines done! The license plate consist three pieces. To do is as one piece would be insane due to curves and if you want them them to end striaght. Anyways here is the pic requested:

+1 for smoked lenses and black stripes! Well done!!!

Now to just black out those wheels...

Next project! Wheel must be black! And to all for the nice comments! I appreciate that!
I do have an idea I am toying with. And like to see what everyone has to say. I am thinking of painting the exhaust cover black. I haven't seen hardly anyone do that. And one big reason I need to do something cause I still have some damage on the passenger side cover do to an accident miscalculation on my part. I was backing in my garage back in December and hit the side of the garage door frame. Well needless to say that was the day I found out the covers where made of metal. Well I had hammered it out the best that I could and use some touch up paint to cover it up until I foun a decent body shop that will be able to fix it right. But all here locally are kind of scared touching is cause one they known it's an expensive part to replace from what I have been told. And that since it's metal they have to consider another way to do it since you couldn't use fiberglass to reshape it due to the heat. So, yeah also I am not going to pay someone more than what I can by an aftermarket one that I can also get painted. I toyed with the idea of just buying the ones I have seen in carbon fiber or fiberglass that supposley is fire proof!? But if I buy one I need to buy another one for the driver's side as well. Don't like not matching parts. Anyways here is a pic of me photoshoping it in black. What are are some suggestions?

Not sure I like it at first. BUT... If you wrapped the black paint around the front and rear fascias it might look pretty cool.

Oh yeah, and get those front lenses tinted too! :D

Yeah that might be a good idea there! Thanks!
See I have been debating tinting the front. Since I did eye lids it wouldn't be as hard now. The fogs are already tinted but the covers are not. I would have to remove the vinyl off the fogs first then tint the covers. I had them tinted before, well my old covers. But when one flew off in doing some doughnuts. Then I bought a new set from snake ole. I do need to smoke them out cause that will help protect them from getting scratched up or damaged from debris. I gave to order another roll anyways. I usually smoke out lenses for customers. Love doing black ars cause they look so good totally blacked out!

Thought I would share these pics with you all. My buddy was so impressed with my stripes that he too went to the same company and bought white stripes for his 94 viper. Came by yesterday to show it off to me at my house. Looks awesome! And loved to see two vipers sitting in my driveway too! Made my day!

I like the change to black stripes. RT/10 looks great... I would not keep the red duct tape on the headlights.... yeesh! Yes I know it is not duct tape... but you get the point. The friends Viper... all I can say is WOW the rear tires on that ****.

Well my buddy thought it was cool to take the 335 orginally from the rears and bring them to the front. And then get a 16" wide tire for the rear! Lol well he is going to go back to having the 335 in the rear and 275 in front. Don't ask me why he did it. I can only assume for an aggressive look?! But he is regretting cause he literally had this setupnfor only four months and all ready burnt his rears up! Lol
