VERNON AUTOCROSS WEEKEND

Come out and join the fun in Vernon, BC as we try our driving skills again at the Sun Valley Speedway! If you have never raced before this is the best way to learn without worrying about whether you’re a future Mario Andretti. Everyone has a great time and first timers last year couldn’t stop smiling!
Rooms have been blocked off until May 1st (at which time they will be released) at the Village Green Hotel in Vernon. Participants at Sun Valley speedway get a special rate of $79.00/night but when you book make sure you mention that you are with the Viper Club in order to get the special rate. There is a casino in the hotel and best of all; it is across the street from Starbucks! Call 1-800-663-4433 to reserve.
Plan to arrive on Saturday (May 31st) afternoon, meet for drinks and a bite to eat and then we can take in the events at Sun Valley Speedway that begin in the evening - gates open at 6 pm, racing begins at 7 pm. Tickets are $10.00/person. Tentative racing for this night; sportsman/juniors, street stock/pickups, and Okanagan dwarf cars.
On Sunday (June 1st) breakfast will be on your own and we will leave the hotel about 10:30 or 11:00 pm to go to Sun Valley for the autocross. We have the track from noon until 4 pm but will arrive early enough to set it up and do a walk around. The food concession will be open while we are there as well.
After the day at the track a dinner reservation has been made at the Eclectic Med Restaurant in Vernon, I have heard that the food is great!
Rooms at the Village Green Hotel have been blocked off for Sunday as well for those of you who will not be leaving for home after the dinner.
Last year we held an autocross at Sun Valley and had a BLAST! Derek J. will be out in hopes of taking the autocross “title” back from Darryl K. who had the best time last year…keep in mind that Darryl was timing the other drivers!!
