What antifreeze is in an '02 GTS???

What antifreeze is in an \'02 GTS???

I am going to try "burbing" my Viper tonight and I need to pick up some antifreeze. Is there a special type/color of antifreeze I need?

Lots of opinions on this one if you search on antifreeze. I read a recent Car and Driver article and used Zerex G05. Don't confuse it with the regular white Zerox 5 year bottle, this one is a Gold bottle and specifically says G05 on it.

It is yellow! I didn't really care for the color because it makes it harder to see in the overflow bottle but I used it anyways. Mixes with the green stuff too.

Do some searches because you can't mix some (I think Red) with factory fluid unless you go through ALOT of effort to ensure all of old stuff is out.

I just want to use something that will be compatible with what ever the
factory filled it with...

SteveT, I KNOW that 2001 Viper is "green stuff"...as in Prestone II...and, I KNOW that 2003 Viper is "orange stuff"...as in "MOPAR Antifreeze/Coolant 5 yr./100,000 Mile Formula (MS-9769)" (which IS NOT Dexcool...thanks for the heads-up call, Ron !!!)

Would BET that the 2002 factory fill is "green"...take a look as it is very easy to tell.

If you do go with "green" , read label CAREFULLY if buying Prestone II as they offer "straightstuff" that needs to be diluted 50-50 with distilled water AND they offer a NEW premixed version that ALREADY has the 50-50 distilled water mix in it.

Are you just going to burp or flush? If you are just burping and live in Texas I can't imagine why you wouldn't just buy a gallon of distilled water. You're only talking about using a little.
