What paint for Stripes?

Need the paint type/mfg and color code for the factory white stripes on a 1997 GTS.

Should be on a tag on the body somwhere. I forget where. If no one responds, go to www.paintscratch.com Get the phone inf and call, they are very helpful, just tell them you want to match numbers before ordering. Any body shop can look it up too with a phone call.

I think the roller process only works on the YELLOW ones

Most Vipers were painted by ASC with Akzo Nobel paints. (a few early 1998's had PPG). Sikkens is the retail equivalent of Akzo.

As far as stripe application goes, the body panels are completely painted with the base color and cleared, then the stripe outline is masked and the paint is lightly scuffed (not to primer). The stripe only is then painted and cleared. After the baking process the stripe is lightly sanded with 2500 grit paper and polished.
