Hey viper-folk,
It's been a year, and time for another car-shuffle at Chez Treynor. We're selling our DC Performance supercharged '03 SRT/10, and I have no well-founded idea of what would be a reasonable price - presumably somewhere in the $50K-$70K range? Anyone with any data on what the tuner-installed S/C cars sell for?

Thanks in advance!
-Ben

For the record, the specs are:
'03 SRT/10 Red/Black -- 681 RWHP / 611 RWTQ
DC Performance installed Paxton kit w/custom tune, extra fuel pumps etc.
NHRA-legal rollbar
Light head porting
3.43 rear gears
Stock exhaust/headers/cats (keeps it quiet & stock-sounding :D )

I'd think a bit more, like $75 - $85, depending on mileage and condition, considering your mods.

You didn't mention the miles, which is always a factor with the Viper regardless of mods. The other consideration is warranty: Will DC Performance stand behind the install for a set amount of time/miles? The car itself will have a warranty for a certain amount of time, but the SC may make factory warranty claims a little more difficult.

All that said, I would think around $70K would be about right with the mods.

Good point - it's at 8200 miles with nary a hiccup.

DC performance warrants their system for 1 year / 12K miles, which means it'll be under their warranty until early 2006.

So with both factors in mind I think you are still looking at a comfortable $65K - $70K selling price with a little patience. The key will be to market the car's pedigree, i.e., DC Performance. God bless the guys here with the talent and time to do a self-install, but your average buyers take a certain comfort level knowing that a known tuner did the SC work. The fact that they will back it up with a warranty is also a big deal. Good luck!
