Does anyone know what vacuum should be at idle?

I'm getting 14 inches at 700 rpm. Sounds low to me...

If it is a stock motor usually somewhere between 17-22" is the norm. You may have a slight vacuum leak somewhere. Is the car running good? You can always spray carb cleaner around the intake ports to see.

Put it this way...anything less than 17" of vacuum on a stock engine would be somewhat of a concern for me...I've had many stock motors pull 20"-22"...must I go check my vacuum gauge to see where the green area ends lol?

I thought 14 was low, but... I figured maybe the uneven firing v10 has different vacuum specs.. the car runs good and passed california enhanced emissions test a few weeks ago.

I will go check for vacuum leaks

Spray some carb cleaner around the intake ports...if the idle rpm goes up...you have just found your vacuum leak. Personally I don't think vacuum specs on a V-10 would be ANY different than on a 4 ******...
