What would be the main difference with going with a top fed injector vs having extra injectors before the throttle bodies? Any advantages verses disadvantages?

I assume you mean what are the advantages of replacing all 10, versus just adding a few at the TB? There are "top feed" and "side feed" injectors, which just refers to where on the injector body the fuel enters (ie where it sits in the rail).

Without serious investigation into the best location for extra injectors, I think you may come up with distribution problems for the fuel from the extras. It's a long way from the TB to the back cylinders.. better be sure the fuel goes back there. With bigger injectors at each cylinder, I would be more confident of uniform distribution. Of course, 10 injectors = $$$$, unless you can find suitable used units from other vehicles. Also, you can control the extra injectors with a smaller standalone unit, where the larger injectors would need some kind of work on the ecu.

exactely!! The extra injector route is the poor mans way to get more fuel in the air mixture under boost. Problem is the V10 intake manifold was not designed to carry a air gas mixture and the distrubution will not be the same to the ports in the rear. Your wide band O2 sensor will not help discover thias it only takes the average from one side of your V cylinder bank. Some piggy back systems have the ability to drive extra injectors (pefect power SMT6) but I would not do it one a large V block. I decided against this way after a little reasearh and went with new rails and top feed injectors.

You would think so, but it is hard to argue that with DLM power and reliability using the extra injector method.
