Did some searching, still not sure......does anyone know the wheel weights for the regular 5-spoke vs sidewinder vs 10-spoke?? I'm sure sidewinders are the lightest, but how do they compare to the other 5-spokes??

I am also interested in this question, especially the weight differential between the sidewinder (copperhead) 5-spoke rims and the first edition five-spoke rims. Thanks for your help.

copperhead / sidewinders full polish
Front 17.75 lbs each
Rear 25.25 lbs each

Robbie -- thanks for the precision weights on the sidewinders. In your shop have you ever had the chance to weigh the 5-spoke "First Edition" wheels? Thanks for any input you can provide.

Check out this thread. May help some: http://www4.forum.viperclub.org/showflat...true#Post745271

18" SSRs are about 45 lighter (set of 4) than factory 10 spokes. I believe that sidewinders are about 10 lbs heavier than SSRs.

So if my math is correct (looked up weight of tires on tire rack) the srt sidewinders are 12lb lighter each in front, 8lb lighter each in rear over 10 spoke and presumably other stock rims. Total weight diference 24front+16 rear = 40lbs a nice round number to remember. i've thought about purchasing a set of sidewinders but the look is just not for me.

Switching from ZP tires (run flat) to non ZP saves 3lb each front and 2lb each rear = 10lb saving.

When I did them on my digital scale I came up with a total of 34 lbs savings over my 2003 wheels and 10 lbs total getting rid of the run flats.

the truth is no 2 scales will read exactly the same.

Just a follow up to this thread; I received a set of "blem", silver-painted Sidewinder rims from Partsrack and weighed them (without center caps, tires or TPMS sensors mounted) on a conventional bathroom scale. Fronts weighed 17.5 lbs and rears weighed 25 lbs.

Has anyone ever actually weighed the 10-spoke rims, the 5 spoke rims or the H-spoke rims?
