Where can I find a VEC2 card reader/writer?

I'm trying to get the VEC2 smart card reader/writer but Roe doesn't have the USB version. They won't get new ones in for a few weeks. Will any generic brands work? Does anyone have any experience with other brands? How do I go about getting one?

An alternate source is www.txsystems.com
It has to be a Chipdrive one though.
Otherwise, you can get a USB to serial 9 pin adapter from CompUSA.
Hope that helps until the 50 we have on order arrive...

Sean, I've checked with Txsystems. They don't have the usb versions either.

Jeff, I'd like to have one on my PC. Is yours an extra?

Not an extra....but you can use it anytime call me at my office.

The VEC 2 card is a ISO Smartcard is it not?

If so, I have one that will read/write to card. You will need software though.
