Re: whos riding on 19

there is the number ZR19 on my tires so I suppose I must be riding on 19 inch wheels. Previous owner did a wheel tire upgrade.

Michelin
front
275/30ZR19 96Y

rear
345/30ZR19 105Y

houston,
I checked the Tire Rack. And it seems that for the rears.345/30/19. Only Michelin makes them. The pilots..

There is also a 355/25/19 that looks AWESOME. Bridgestone also makes a 345/35/19.

Steve, thats a nice set of CCWs on your car, you ever want to get rid of them let us know :)

Are you looking for mail order or a local shop? I know a couple places in NorCal (sac/san fran) area that will cut you a reasonable deal but thats about it. Kinda a far drive from Monterey.

You might also check ebay, sometimes people are selling new tires for really good prices on there.

Actually Costco has really good prices on tires and their service is exceptional.

Hi Vipeuup
As far as I know, it hasn't been lowered...at least I know I haven't. The tires look great, especially the rears that look massive.

Just went outside with a tape. There is a lip at the front, a few inches from the front of the car. The lip or ridge appears to be the lowest part of the vehicle. It is 3 inches exactly off the ground. Is this normal? Tires are inflated correctly.

Re: whos riding on 19

Your most welcome.

You know my first sports car (sort-of) was a Triumph GT6, that was in 1969, maybe 70. In 72 I was zipping around London in a V12 E-type (2+2). Since living in the US, most recently had a Z28, then 3 vettes (last one z06) and now this wonderful machine. And I still know diddly about what makes car go. Quite embarrassing really. I read many posts everyday on Viperclub and have to look up every third word to help make sense of the sentence.

There is a mate of mine at work, who sits me down daily now and with the help of "howstuffworks" is teaching me "elementary combustion 101".

Stock ground clearance is 5 inches. :D
