Why are 18" Pilots cheaper than 17" Pilots?

Why are 18\" Pilots cheaper than 17\" Pilots?

Just curious, seems to be about $300 for a set of 4.

They are less probably because of those rear 18 inchers. What happened was Dodge had an excess of rear 18 x 13 tires for the Gen II cars before they started producing the SRT-10's. When they moved onto the SRT-10's they still had tires left and then some companies purchased the excess and as a result have been selling them at a significantly lower rate than usual. I picked up three sets of rear tires at $300 per set :eek: compared to paying around $750 a set. It was a great savings and had to take advantage of it. If you look on eBay they are still saying rears at about $200 each which is still really cheap.
