Any advice on why my windows on my 2004 are not lowering that little bit when you open the doors? Thanks. I tried to search but unable to come up with anything.

Perfect Vipering weather right now in Tampa. I've had her out everyday for a week now.

One of mine did that, its common. Had to replace the regulator which is connected to motor and tracks for the glass.

I'm sorry. The windows function, I'm talking about when the window goes down just a little bit on the convertible when you open the door. Definetely not the regulator. Its both doors so it must be an electrical problem more so then a mechanical one I would think.

Does anyone know the answer to kenbrackins question? My passenger side does not go down that 1/4 inch when opening the door...so it hits the convertible top and does not seal until you lower it and raise it back up. My driver side works...it goes down just a smidge automatically when opening the door. But not my passenger side. Otherwise my windows work fine.

Sounds like the window travel needs to be reset.
You can try disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes and reconnecting. Pray in those 15 minutes that EVERYTHING resets properly.
BUT FIRST, try a manual reset of the windows.
On the drivers side -
Turn Ignition on.
With door closed, open window all the way down.
Close window all the way up, release switch.
Imediately hold switch up for 2 seconds.
Repeat on passenger window.
Good Luck,

replace the relay under the hood first. Had the same issue before. Or, just swap the relay with another one of the same part number (I think the fog light or horn relay works too)

I did the reset mentioned by TheOldViperMan, and it did seem to reset the passenger window... I could see it drop a quarter inch upon opening and closing the door. However, it was still hitting the top of the convertible top window sill. I eventually had to bend the end of the sill up a hair with a pair of pliers. Now it clears and closes as it should Another thing fixed on my list of to-do's

Now If I can just cure my passenger rear rattle over sharp-edged bumps! If I can ever figure out what the hell it is coming from.
