Well, it's actually getting close to that time of year for those of us in the upper states to start thinking about winter storage. :( Anyone willing to share what they do to prep their car for winter storage, as well as share pictures of how/where they block their car for the winter.

Thanks,

I'll share my winterization routine. I do NOTHING. But then I drive it all winter too as long as there is no snow on the ground. But if I was to winterize, I'd do the following:

- Change oil + filter
- Fill tank and add one bottle of fuel stablizer.
- Clean interior and exterior.
- Wax car
- Remove battery and store indoors in climate controlled environment. Charge as needed.
- Jack the car and block it at the same points that the professionals use in the auto body shop.
- If you don't want to jack it, just more it 3 inches forward every week. When you run out of room, start moving it backwards.
- Cover car

The easiest thing to do is just drive it.

My GTS sits for a few months during the winter.

I wash and wax, fill the gast tank, cahgne the oil and hook up a battery tender. (I use a cig lighter adapter I made up so that the hood can be closed)

The car was meant to be supported by the wheels, I leave mine that way. The tires will not flat spot within a few months. Flatspotting was far more prevelent with the older bias ply tires./

Also you can pump up the tires to around 45 lbs and park it on stock pen mats or carpeting.I find something to clean every 2-3 weeks and run it for 1/2 hour, roll back and forth. GTS Bruce
