WTB water pump for 96 GTS

Anyone have suggestions for a reasonably priced water pump for the 96 GTS? Looked at the regular viper parts websites and found them ranging from $300 to $1200. Of course the $300 one on Viper Parts Depot is sold out, with no ETA on restock.

I would imagine you'd be better off getting an upgraded pump with an aluminum impeller. Havik offers a service where you can send them your pump and they'll upgrade it for you. Not exactly cheap, but should result in something much more reliable.

Aren’t the 96 GTS pumps different than the other years? I thought the 96 GTS pump didn’t have the impeller spinning issues? Or do they?

The spinning impeller typically affected the 2000-01 cars, but when a pump is identified as bad, new seals are installed as is a Billet wheel to eliminate the possible issues plastic might cause.

There are 2 different shaft diameters for the impellers - 12mm (older models) and 5/8" (newer).
