Hey john c, you seem like a nice guy. Just ask your friends to do what they said on the zo6 forum. Switch drivers and see what happens and please keep us updated.

I got rid of my 2003 Z06 recently, and my 2004 SRT-10 is faster, there is no dispute, questions or debates about the topic. The Z06 is no slug though, it just needs to be reved real high and kept on the bubble to get moving. The Z also picked up real fast from 120 or so and up in 5th. I didnt see these cars going that fast.

There is no doubt the SRT is faster plain and simple. Driver has to use the power though.

Depending on the driver, any car can beat a better car in a race, if for whatever reason the Faster of the cars isn't being driven properly!

I have a video of a SRT-4 beating a SRT-10 in the 1/4! yeah, 14.1 to a 14.25. You tell me which car is faster! :p

Jonh C,

We all own Vipers, and punch them frequently... With the 335 - 345 tire width on the rear, they can easily hook from a 40 MPH roll in first (Dry roads - stock Viper). 1st Case closed.

Now if you combine starting in the wrong gear, super slow shifting, and probably shifting at the wrong RPM (Redline is not the best shift spot, most shift well before), then yes, a perfectly driven Z06 could probably beat a SRT10. So what? We know a properly driven SRT10 (stock) will do 11.7 (123 MPH)(give or take). And that is a good bit faster than a Z06 with an exhaust. 2nd Case closed.
