UPDATE
Well guys, I got very lucky and I am getting it warranted by a dealer friend of ours. We have purchased quite a few vehicles from him in the past(chevrolet trucks mostly), so he told me it wouldnt be a problem to get the console warranted for me. The new one is supposed to be in...
AB that sounds like mine it has not torn through the vinyl(it is just a long crease top side),and good to know someone has tried the epoxy method. It'll be a few weeks before I get to it, as I will be working out of town. I will try to take pics during the process and post them. Again, thanks to...
As far warranty goes the car has dodge max-care(basic ran out in Jan), but I dont think it covers soft trim pieces like the console. Anyone had theirs replaced under max-care? I would guess it would depend on the dealer and I dont have a good one that deals with vipers in the area.
Thanks for the replies, I havent taken it apart yet to see exactly how much damage is done underneath, but the top has a crease about 7" in length. I was wondering if it would be worth a trying to epoxy it back together from underneath, and then epoxy a piece of lexan to it to add support. Do...
I decided to take the viper out today for a ride, and I drove it over to my parents house. I parked it out back and took the keys out but I didnt arm the alarm(my mistake). I was inside talking to my mother, when I heard the horn start blowing. I go outside to find my sleezeball(thats being...
This is where I always bought my racing helmets from. http://www.behrents.com/safety-helmets.htm They stock both Impact(silver) and Simpson helmets(white and black for a little extra money) at good prices. My personal favorite has been the Simpson Voyager series.
Im thinking of putting a stock air box back in the car and using the K&N smooth tube setup. The car currently has the Belanger intakes it had when I purchased it. Im thinking of taking them off bacause, I really dont see where it could gain any power by using the hot engine air (I know it...
Dang, sounds like they tried to rob you.I bought my 2nd key(exact copy of original)off of ebay for $25US and it cost $1 for a total of 26 US ,and you can buy the remote from ebay also for around 20. Then you just have to have someone program it for you.
Before I bought mine my dad gave me this piece of advice. "In the end, it doesnt matter if you die with 2 million or 2 cents in the bank, all that matters is that you lived life the way you wanted with as few regrets as possible". So GO FOR IT!!!!
Hamish, because anything less than 100's are pocket change to me LOL(I wish that was the case). Andy was right, its just a simple smarta$$ed answer to give people that are hassling you.
I just got mine last august, two weeks before my 23rd birthday, and here are two of the more common ones I hear and my answers to them.
1. "Must be nice".......... IT IS
2. "How much does it cost?" ....... Pocket change
I found a 92 viper(w/o motor/trans) in my area for sale, and was wondering what you guys think it would be worth. I went and saw the car, and the body and int. are in excellent shape. I asked what happened to the engine/trans, the guy(who is the original owner) said that his son blew the engine...
There are 2 main differences between the 96-99 and the 00-02 engines.
1. The Camshafts in 96-99 had a more aggressive profile than the 00-02.
2. The 00-02 engines had lighter cast pistons in them to try and recover the power that was lost with the milder cam.
Hopes this helps.
