Was thinking of possibly starting some sort of INFORMAL registry for all 2006 Copperhead Coupe owners. Since there are only 51 of us, just curious where everyone is at and see if they are all still out there. If any have (god forbid) been wrecked/totalled and you know the details, please post them as well.

If you can - please post a picture/pictures of your car along with the following. (If you need someone to host your pics - shoot me a PM)

1. Stripes (with color) or no stripes
2. Wheels that were originally on your Viper
3. Location
4. Where and when you purchased your Copperhead Coupe.
5. Current Mileage

I guess I'll start

1. No Stripes
2. H-Spokes
3. Raleigh, NC
4. Michigan - 10/30/07
5. Approx 800

Technically the 2006's are not "Copperheads". Its a 2006 Coupe painted copper metallic. The only "Copperheads" were the 2005 Verts of which there were numbered as an edition and 300 made.

Well - kinda yes and kinda no. You might be mistaken on part of this.

From my windows sticker:
Exterior Color: Copperhead Orange Satin Coat Exterior Paint

From what I understand like you said there were 300 "Copperhead Edition" SRT-10 Verts made in 2005.

In 2006 there were 51 2006 Copperhead Orange Satin Coat Cars made (not Copperhead edition - just copperhead color)

Not sure if any of those 51 were verts or not.

None of the 06's are verts, just trying to help you out. When you say Copperhead most think of the 2005 and Copperhead wheels is the special wheels they used in 05. So if your going to start a registry of "Copperheads", the only "copperheads" are 2005. :2tu:

I read somewhere that all Copperheads came w/ 3:33's in the rear end. Is that true?

Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines. Just from my short time in the Viper Community - it seems from some of the things I have read or people that I have talked to seems to indicate that sometimes there are those who confuse the Copperhead Edition 2005 and the Copperhead Color 2006 Coupes to be one and the same. I have had to let a couple people who asked know that my 06 is not a Copperhead Special Edition 2005 Vert (with the Sidewinder Wheels) but instead an 06 Copperhead Color Coupe.

Like I said in my OP I was just interested in doing some sort of informal registry for the 2006 Copperhead (Color) Coupe Vipers since there were only 51 made.

Thanks for the info about the Verts :2tu:

You are 100% correct Muscle, your OP stated 06 Copperhead Coupe, You did not mention the Copperhead edition. I'm sure ,by no means, you meant to confuse the 51 2006 Copperhead Coupes with the 300 2005 Copperhead Edition Verts. It seems some people dont understand what they read.

Rather than debating what is an 'official copperhead' how about the 51 people who have one painted that color in 2006 post here and everyone else finds something else to do?

If there IS a side to take in the debate, the 2006 are far more rare and valuable IMO, as there are ony 50 of them (instead of 300) and they are coupes, and come in some different stripe combos.

Thanks - yeah I had considered that vehicle prior to the purchase of my Copperhead Coupe. Came into some info that the car was listed as new but might not be in such "new" condition. Had to look elsewhere after that. But I am sure if someone didn't mind all that they probably would be able to get that car somewhere in the 60's based off of my reading of the situation when I looked at it.

It is a no-stripe car with 5-spoke rims.

Thats the one, when I looked at it it had two curbed wheels and a general wear that made a person leery.I talked with them about the condition and that I would expect new wheels/any reconditioning required and a price in the sixties but they were sold on the idea of the car being rare LMAO.It's flat out one of the two best colors on a Gen I II or III but many people do not seem to agree with us.They called it rare I said most people didn't like the color. (my wife and club members specifically)All being said if they called me today with a good offer I would be driving a Copperhead Coupe!!!!!!!!!

Just left he and his wife another message. They may be in Mexico this time of year-gotta place in Cabo. They live about 1/2 mile from us. If I don't hear back in a few days I'll call over the weekend.

Hey, I don't know him from the beefcake thread(honest);) but we would love to see you on there Bobby!:D

I have a 2006 Copperhead Coupe with black stripes. I love the copperhead color so much it is rediculous.

I wanted a coupe, so I got the 2006 even though it had the stock black interior. I had access to a wrecked 2005 Copperhead edition, so I purchased the interior seats, steering wheel, shifter boot, and parking brake boot - all of which have the copperhead stitching and the seat backs that say Viper in copperhead stitching. These are all now in my 2006 Coupe. I also have the 2005 copperhead console with the copperhead sticker but I just kept it for posterity.

I have also had my underdash, inner door panels, and center console redone in copperhead leather (which took a while to locate!). The instrument cluster has been painted the copperhead color.

I have upgraded the radio to the RB1 with Sirius, and added a subwoofer to the back (which sounds 100x times better than the little sub between the car seats).

One thing left I plan to do is to install wheels with black centers. Maybe this summer.

Can you PLEASE post pictures of the interior of your car done like this?!

Also, can you fill us in on where you located the copperhead leather? I think this is brilliant. I would love to do something like this to my car, as I'm sure other owners would.

THANKS!
