Actually, there are not many in St. Pete. There are a few at Lake STL and in O'fallon, but mostly in West Co.

:bsm:... to you pres. What Tim said...

TOUCHE', but it is yet to be proven otherwise poke poke:pokey:

I stand corrected. Some of our finest and most active members are from S.Co. Demographics just puts most cars in W.Co.

Oh and I'm originally from N.Co, so anything south of 44 is still West Co to me!

Is that spoken like a true President during an election year or what?

I'm hoping that's enough to do it Tim.

:nitrous: . . . . and that ain't pepper spray

I'm glad to see some interested in going back to the track. We'll do our Autocross this year in Oct as planned, then back to an event at Gateway next.

A track rental at Gateway this fall would be great. I need to make some warm up passes before Bradenton. :2tu:

I guess tue night is still street tire night.
Yep, but with the power most of us are making we'll need a private rental. One pass in the high 10s or low 11s without a roll cage and we'll be booted on a Tuesday night.:nono:

I don't think it will run that well on street tires, it's all over the place now 1st, 2nd and 3rd lol

Exactly. Last summer we rented the track all to ourselves. It was $150/car, but we made unlimited passes for 6 hours.

Yes, you'll get a stearn warning at the tech inspection that any passes below 11.99 you get tossed w/out a bar. You can practice you launches and shift into 2nd then be on the brakes the rest of the way. You'll have v-6 mustangs saying they beat you all night long

Tim- I don't see us (the club) getting the Gateway IR rental done anymore this year. Last year we had to plan it out almost 4 months in advance with finding an open date, track staff, insurance details and the up front cost is substantial. I'll be all over it next year. In the meantime, we always have the Tuesdays and maybe we could piggyback onto another clubs' event at Gateway. I'll start looking to see what's available.

The prepped track is ALOT more sticky than the street too. With some Khumo's or BFGs you should hook pretty good on the track.:drive:

But I run 19's and there are no DR's. I need to find some 18inch wheels to fit my rear brakes. You can go 11.49 before you need a cage.

I believe they are making Nitto Invo street tires in 19" now that will hook very well on the street and track.

I just had a set of Sport Cups (These tires really "hook". problem is they are about $500 apiece and they last about 4K miles, But those are some "fun" 4K miles...) mounted on Forgelines for my 06 SS, at Dobbs. I already have a set of sportcups on my "slate" 06 (below) and love them. Checked all around, most tire places won't even touch them. Only certain Dobbs stores will do them though. They sent me to the store at Llindbergh and
Watson.

I know the Dobbs at Lake St. Louis will do Viper wheels. Saw a set there last weekend. $60per. There is a Dobbs on K that did mine a year ago at $50 per.
