Just thought I'd ask if anyone has an especially recommended installer for a windshield in the East Valley including Scottsdale. Tempe, Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa. My '02 GTS seems to have sprouted an 8-10 inch crack this weekend.

Hey Jim,
Bummer about your windshield. I just had mine replaced by Mike at Mike's Collision in Mesa (480.649.4269). He does a bunch of work on Vipers, is a perfectionist and a Viper owner. Tell him Jim sent ya.

Thanks, That's exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I got a lead on another place that just has a general good rep; but, I feel better with someone that at least knows how to open and close the hood ! It looks like the actual glass replacement is a pretty normal job, itself.

Regards

Jim

Jim, how do you think it happened? Wasn't just sitting in the garage, was it? ;)

Ouch ! Low blow ! Just a small piece of gravel did it, I think. There wasn't a substantial rock chip. There was just a little chip right on the crack line; but the chip was no larger than others on the windshield that people don't even usually notice.

Mike at Mike's Collision was a great guy.
I'm taking the car to Eddie Martin tomorrow to get a little more aggressive alignment.

Just pulling your leg! Finished the install of the Belangers last week, and installed w/o heatshields. Just couldn't form the stock shields, and really didn't want to destroy them. Didn't feell like waiting to make some of my own, so I'm running without for now. Feel very "heat conscious" right now, and am checking the engine compartment every couple of days. Nothing unusual noted, but there definitely is more heat than before. Wish I knew how hot it would have been with the stock manifolds w/o heat shields. Went over to Eddie's house to check out his 97, and I saw that he was running Belangers w/o shields too.

We'll see.....the sound is awesome BTW. Deeper tone at idle, sharper at WOT. Not obnoxious at all.
