to quote one of our sages, year matters ('01??)

can't tell from that pic, what does it look like under the hood :dunno:

it looks like it has factory flex pipe and shortened factory cats

2002, cool, gts or rt :eater: (not that that matters as far as headers are concerned)

if you are stock, you have factory headers, which are not bad as far as flow.

headers for your car are not bang for the buck power adders, but do sound nice. your car should sound better than stock already with the cut cats, so headers even less a sound upgrade. did hennessey work on your car?

also, if you heat shields completely cover your headers, they are probably stock

the stock ones are often referred to as shorties

i can't think of any after market headers that are completely hidden by heat shields, (though there may be some :dunno: )

under hood pic will help

Ok after deciding that i was being lazy (just got done tearing down a jetski motor in the rain :-O) i decided to go out and take out the heat shields.....pain in the ass (bolts obviously easy but getting out was a pain)

Its a Supercharged GTS (hence the stock headers (if stock) are a pretty limiting factor for me and the reason i want aftermarket with no cats

Well the other pictures....im 99% sure factory headers but figured id verify

BTW sorry for the filthy engine bay :(

I believe there are some. I talked to Steve Heitz who is my "local" even tho it's not that local.. Viper Tech, and I remember him telling me if he puts the Belanger in my car, he would leave the heat shields. I'm pretty sure I remember him saying this, because he was saying how beautiful the Belanger were, and you won't really be able to see them.

not lazy in my book

those look stock to me (as LifeIsGood pics also show)

i know sometimes they were cut in half (guts too) to make them "hiflows"

since you are so close to houston, just know that in houston we have to get sniffer tested, so catless won't fly if you ever register the car with a houston address

yeah, i've seen heat shields for aftermarket headers, dave6666 also fabbed his own that looked great, but they do not completely cover the headers like stock headers/shields do as aftermarket headers are much longer and you usually can see the lower tubes and collectors

I'd double check your math because my heat shields actually cover more than the factory shields do.

They go down below the frame rail. You cannot see the collector on my car. You can't even see any of the tubes really. Try pounding a set of OE heat shields on a set of Belanger headers and report the same.

Id prefer not to have the heat shields when i install the headers. Pretty sure mine are stock which is a good bad thing..... id rather the headers already be done so i dont have to drop coin on the, but also means the car should open up alot more with the paxton on it.

Im not to worried about the sniff test, going to get some non foulers which should trick the computer into thinking the cats are in there.....as long as the car doesnt throw the code, i can get the sticker :)

Let the fun begin lol
