David,
Congratulations on your purchase and entry into the Dodge Viper Cup Series. I will hopefully be watching you at NJMP next season. Do you have commercial sponsorship and if so what organization?

Thank you.

No, no "outside" sponsorship. I own my company, and have determined that if I apply the effort required to court and retain an outside company to give me money for displaying their name on my car, and take that effort and jsut work harder within my business, I'd be further ahead. I already have the "economies of scale" working for me.

That being said, Kryderacing, Carbotech, Hoosier and PartsRack are valuable partners. They help me in ways that can't be quantified, but my success would be ahrder to achieve without them coming along for the ride with me. One change: Michelin is the spec tire for the Dodge Viper Cup, so my partnership with Hoosier will only be on the SCCA/NASA/NARRA Club racing side of things.

I just recieved the following from the shop that is doing the body wrap on my ACRX. This is all wrap, no paint. And BTW, I have yet to see the car in person...grrrrrr.

You know I think I like it without the canards of course I know you need all the canards on the track. But I may leave the canards off my car if I decide to install my ACR aero parts

Oh, the canards will be reinstalled. The shop removed them to apply the wrap. I actuall like how they look on the car.

The car's appearance will change in the next few months. As soon as I get the Viper Cup-mandated stickers (contigency and number placards), those will go on and change the looks quite a bit. Plus, I am not sure I am styaing with the black wheels. I may go with the polished side-winders. I have never warmed up to the black wheels on a car with "busy" graphics. But we'll see.

Thanks for letting me share this with everyone. It's kind of exciting for me, and it's fun "showing off."

David.... Congrats on the car purchase and good luck on your DVC racing. I have been in touch with Tom re the yellow car just last week as well as talking to a few current race teams re getting info on cars they have coming up for sale. I too am looking at trying to get into the DVC series if I can land a car. Would like to touch base and see what all you have done on the car to get it race ready. PM Sent.
Good Luck and have fun.

Congratulations on getting this Beast and Good Luck David!

Your car looks awesome (fantastic wrap!) and I can't wait to see it in the 2012 Viper Cup. With your experience you will bring additional excitement to the series!

nice wrap, does the heat on the sidepods ever become an issue with the wrap or is that stuff impervious to heat?

The heat bubbled the wrap on my STO car. I don't know if that is caused due to both exhausts exiting the right side, although the bubbling is at the front, where only one side come close. Yes, we did use some insulation, but evidently not enough...

David,

Your STO car ran 2:15 at Road America. What time do you expect the X's to run?
