Yes the stock handle will work. Installed a few of the B&M Shifters.

Get an IPSCO lowering rod, personally for a '97 the 2" lowering is ideal.

Does that work in conjunction with the B&M? It goes in tomorrow, so Id likely have to add that on myself later if so.
