I'm not sure what the impact of that fuel is on your car, but I would suggest dynoing with that fuel to make sure its safe if you will be running it in the future.
I've had bucking problems in previous cars due to improperly gapped plugs (or maybe just plugs that failed). That could be an easy check, but I'd also have your tune looked at.
sounds like your tire pressure is good (better for traction). I'm not surprised the car has no traction. I'd consider switching to a drag radial if you could.
I ran spacers on my cobra. It wasn't a problem. You need a hubcentric spacer made specifically for the car though, not just any spacer. The particularly unsafe spacers are the generic ones made to fit any car. Also, you may need longer lugs as well to make up for the extended reach. That...
Absolutely the tires will give you better acceleration than the traction control. The traction control only allows you to use the full potential of your tires. The stickier tires give you more potential to put the power down than the weak stock tires.
I think his RPM band is not where the peak torque was. I remember reading the RPM the peak torque appeared at being in the 4000-4500 range, but can't remember exactly. At that RPM range this peak torque would be possible.
I don't think 10's will be quite possible. 1.6's with some drag radials would be very good, and still at least a few tenth's away from running 10's. With slick's I'd say it might be possible, but probably not on DR's.
I've seen Ford GT's dyno 550rwhp stock. So, the viper would have to clear that mark at 3400 lbs to have a better ratio.
But I don't think power is going to help ET's much anymore. TRACTION is the biggest issue. The car that can put the power to the ground better is the car that will be...
yep, installing a lighter flywheel will make it worse.
Anyone ever tried changing plugs? I've had this happen on other cars, and putting a larger gap on my plugs really helped. Plus, new plugs can smooth out the idle anyway, which helps a bit. You never know if one of your plugs was bad...
