Headgasket Finally Blew....
regarding the liners.....this is one of the reasons for the machining done by Arrow to correct my leaking head gaskets. I don't recall exactly what they do, but it seems they machined a groove or counterbore in the block in order to insert a key to keep the liners from shifting in the future...- 94 RT/10 Black MAMBA

If your engine is an Arrow rebuild it should have had the machining work done... Also you can get the "failure report" from them to see what they found and did, just by calling them and asking for it.- 94 RT/10 Black MAMBA

Sorry to hear about this but the news is worse than you think.... Mine went out while still under warranty. Dodge had the dealer remove my engine and sent it to Arrow Racing Engines for analysis and repair. I got a total rebuild out of it. They sent me this "failure report" as they called it...- 94 RT/10 Black MAMBA

Please help... Gen1 or Gen2 Hood?
that's exactly right....Rtm and SMC were the designations I forgot. They didn't have to give me anything because my car was out of warranty. The only reason they did was because they wanted to experiment with different repairs on the cracks and told me that if they couldn't repair my hood they...- 94 RT/10 Black MAMBA

again I'm not being clear enough.... The cracks were not only through the hood they were numerous. As in hundreds of them scattered all over. That is why they decided it was useless....more would just keep appearing as the hood got older. Fixing the ones they could see at the time was like...- 94 RT/10 Black MAMBA

I guess I wasn't clear enough about how the factory got around to giving me a hood. The zone rep from DC decided to use my hood to see if they could repair it. It was becoming more common for cracked hoods to be reported to the factory about that time. They sent my car to what the zone rep...- 94 RT/10 Black MAMBA

Please help... Gen1 or Gen2 Hood?
Back in 1999 the hood on my '94 developed cracks......the dealer replaced it even though it was out of warranty with what they said was a hood from one of the factory race cars that was replaced with something lighter. What oil in gen 1
NAPA Gold.. I had a total engine rebuild under warranty by Arrow Racing Engines. Since then it consistently has from 70-80 P.S.I. oil pressure. I worried at first about exploding oil filters but it's been 4 years now and I've had no problems.- 94 RT/10 Black MAMBA

Another Celebrity Viper For Sale
I looked at this car (if it's the one owned by Farley) as well as another one owned by Bo Jackson back in '97. I was looking for a Black car. gen 1 head gasket problems
It is not an issue regarding the materials that the gaskets are made of....Leaking head gaskets are only a symptom of the "REAL" problem. The REAL problem is a "design issue" of the steel sleeves in the Gen 1 aluminum block. I had an Arrow Racing Engines rebuild done under warranty and here is...- 94 RT/10 Black MAMBA

Small crack in the paint.....
The BAD news is "it's probably not the paint". This is exactly the way mine started....one small crack 1/4" long, then another and finally they were appearing all over the hood.
